As we all know, the recurring question of "What to wear to work or class" is more pertinent this time of the year as many of us will want a new twist to our work and formal class style? Therefore, I'll will be giving you four different work outfit style to get you started in building a solid work wardrobe this season.

Stay inspired fam and remember it's a new year so don't hoard this knowledge, share it with your friends online:

1: The formal look: This is an upgrade from your normal day-to-day professional outfits. To achieve a formal work look, stick with dark or neutral colored base. Your accessories should be both modest and professional in color and style.

Formal business attire for women entails:

  • A pantsuit or skirt suit in a conservative neutral color, such as black, navy, or brown.
  • Closed-toe heels in a neutral color such as taupe, black, grey, or brown and
  • Conservative accessories – for instance, diamond studs rather than chandelier earrings.

For Men, it entails:

  • Dark colored suit over a dress shirt.
  • Ties and other accessories should be both modest in color and style – solid, brighter colors (a red tie, for example), or patterned muted.
  • Shoes should be closed-toe oxfords in brown or black, not loafers.
  • Silk or linen pocket squares are also a requirement for men.

2. The BUSINESS Professional look: When you dress business professional, you are wearing generally conservative clothing to portray yourself in a professional manner. Business professional is similar to business formal, but does not necessarily mean you have to break out your best shoes and suit.
Careers that may require business professional dress code on a daily basis include finance, accounting and organizations that have a strict dress code policy. Women can wear a skirt or pants suit with heels while men may wear a blazer or suit jacket, button down shirt, suit pants, a tie and dress shoes.

3. The Classic Look: This is probably the most common and easiest way to dress for office, regardless of your job, but also the most likely to get you looking boring, unless you remember this one tip: always wear a statement piece, a spicy layering or just a more fun item to your look (shoes, bag, jewellery, watch, lips, and nails).

4. The CASUAL business look: This is actually pretty easy to pull off and quite versatile depending on where you work. When the dress code for your company is business casual, it simply means you do not need to wear a suit. However, it does not call for casual attire such as jeans and T-shirts. The tip to pulling off this look perfectly is to always wear a very smart/feminine top (thick silky blouse, men-shirts, structured tops), a blazer, statement shoes and a professional bag. Have fun with accessories and even shoes and bags depending on your job.

So which work style would you mostly incorporate in your work look this season? Let's here from you, share your thoughts below:

Have a wonderful year and don't forget to stay awesome always.Xo
