Rihanna channels That Unstoppable Badass Woman for Harper's Bazaar Magazine

Rihanna is the cover star for Harper's Bazaar Magazine’s 150th Anniversary issue and the pop star's looks are inspired by an aviation pioneer Amelia Earhart, the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean.

Rihanna pays tribute to Amelia Earhart through her aviation-themed photoshoot which was photographed by Mariano Vivanco, her poses makes the airfield look like the runway and she also posed from the cockpit of a single-engine plane.

About the inspiration behind the Utilitarian and sexy cover of the magazine’s March edition, Rihanna said: “There’s something so special about a woman who dominates in a man’s world. It takes a certain grace, strength, intelligence, fearlessness, and the nerve to never take no for an answer. Amelia Earhart was such a dynamic force in her industry, setting multiple aviation records in her time. So it was a no-brainer for me to team up with Harper’s Bazaar in honor of a woman who held her own with the big boys.”
