Prime Women Of 'A Wrinkle in Time’ Cast Covers Time’s New Issue Together

Storm Reid , Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling and Oprah Winfrey the stars of highly anticipated movie ‘A Wrinkle in Time’ are the Cover stars for the latest Times magazine issue.

‘A Wrinkle in Time’  is a Disney movie based on Madeleine L’Engle’s 1962 novel also titled "A wrinkle in Time", will come out on March 9, 2018. The film brings to life the story of Meg Murry, a gangly adolescent who travels across dimensions to rescue her scientist father. Meg is guided by a trio of guardian angels collectively called “the Mrs.” The book, and the movie, is about what it means to be a source of light in a world in which darkness seems only to proliferate, it also makes the case for thinking independently when conformity is the norm which is something the world could use right now, I personally can’t wait for it’s release.

Here's what the cast had to share with the mag:

Oprah, on making the movie: “I felt like we were making the new Wizard of Oz for another generation.”

Reese, on director Ava DuVernaywanting a diverse cast: “I’ve never seen somebody demand inclusiveness like that. It’s just a different perspective, and you don’t get that unless we start to have powerful filmmakers of different colors, different genders. You’re just gonna have the same 20 dudes making the same 20 movies over and over and over again.”

Storm, on why she wanted to be in this movie: “Before I got this role, I wanted there to be more little girls that look like me on TV and in lead roles.”
